Maximal Speed in Modification to Uniform Auction trolleys Achived
FLORAHOLLAND (29 October 2010) - The process of modifying the old auction trolleys to the new, uniform, FloraHolland trolleys has marked an important milestone recently: the targeted maximal speed of modification work has been achieved: 2,300 trolleys were ‘converted’ in one week, at the two workplaces in Naaldwijk and in Aalsmeer.
“The wish for a uniform auction trolley in the chain is coming close to rerality” said Rens Buchwaldt, manager of Logistics, Information, and Automation in FloraHolland, during a small ceremony in Naaldwijk, held to cheer the goal achievement. “It will be soon much easier to work with several auctions, and will save costs along the entire product chain”.
So far, 33,000 out of the total 240,000 auction trolleys were converted. The process is planned to be completed in 2012.
