FLORAHOLLAND, 26 October 2010 (press release) — Not only visitors will find a complete supply of flowers and plants at the FloraHolland Trade Fair, but there are also other ways for standholders and visitors to get informed. On Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 November, interesting seminars will be held in a special seminar room in Hall 1 of the trade fair.
The seminar program is diverse, and will be offered in both English and Dutch.
Varied program
Flower Council Holland will be first out of the traps on Wednesday morning. In its Shopper Study seminar, results will be presented of the recently performed study into the behavior of the shopping public. The Flower Council will show how the results of the study are used in marketing strategies and marketing activities.
Participants in the Water Footprint seminar will be informed on doing sustainable business with distinguishing qualities. The importance of water consumption in the context of water shortages is growing in society. FloraHolland is committed to this topical issue and will introduce visitors to the trade fair to the opportunities and threats.
A very current subject is the development of social media. Even companies in the floriculture industry are applying channels such as Twitter, Hyves, and LinkedIn more often in their communications. During ‘The (non)sense of social media’ seminar, all the possibilities and impossibilities of social media will be addressed.
In the Stand out from the crowd seminar, participants will be shown how important it is for a company to distinguish itself within its environment. Using appealing practical examples from both the national and international business world, the audience will be introduced to a world of exciting new marketing ideas.
During the Reinforce your market position seminar, the FloraHolland College will show how important it is to share experiences from the sector and to acquire practical knowledge, especially in a market that is continuously changing. There will be a special seminar for growers and buyers, which will focus on the study program for 2011.
