NAALDWIJK (26 November 2010) - Since week 46, the first FloraHolland Naaldwijk workers are successfully operating with Voice technology. The instructions for distributing flowers and plants to the buyers are transmitted to the worker through spoken text, and not any more through paper notes. The operator gets voice instructions to his/her headset, and can communicate with the system through a microphone.
This system was intensively tested and adapted to the flower auction’s special needs. Voice improves the control of the working process resulting in an more efficient logistics and - most important – minimizing the number of mistakes in the distribution process.
General Manager Timo Huges has launched the Voice system in a festive ceremony (see picture).
FloraHolland Naaldwijk is the first auction using the Voice technology. Bleiswijk is scheduled to follow during springtime 2011.
