FLORAHOLLAND, 3 August 2010 (press release) – From Wednesday 3 November through Friday 5 November, FloraHolland flower auction is hosting the FloraHolland Trade Fair Aalsmeer. For three days, this international trade fair is the platform for conducting business. Exporters, wholesalers and their domestic and foreign customers can find a comprehensive range of flowers, plants, product concepts, trend presentations and new products. The fair accommodates a total of around 700 growers’ stands and visitors can gain much inspiration there. The fair will be held at FloraHolland Aalsmeer flower auction.
Inspiring concepts
There is renewed enthusiasm for participation in the FloraHolland Trade Fair Aalsmeer in 2010. Therefore, floor space of the trade fair has increased once again this year. In comparison with last year, the percentage of plants (80%) has remained more or less the same, while the supply of cut flowers (20%) has increased considerably. Once again, the FloraHolland Trade Fair guarantees an abundance of innovation and inspiration. In addition to the Trends and Concepts Plaza, with its inspiring concepts, a pavilion that focuses on the desires of the consumer will be present this year. Furthermore, visitors can pick up ideas from the extensive range of plants and flowers on display in the growers’ stands, where national and international suppliers to FloraHolland show their latest varieties, available for order immediately or in the future. A number added-value suppliers will present the latest articles at the fair. As was the case last year, a number of exporters will be on hand at their stands to receive their clients during the fair.
New schedule
In previous years, the FloraHolland Trade Fair Aalsmeer was hosted during the month of October. The autumn edition of the FloraHolland Trade Fair has been moved to November this year, because commercially it complements the interests of partners in the chain better. Consideration was also given to the wishes of participants and visitors and the available spatial capacity. On Wednesday 3 November, the first day of the Aalsmeer trade fair, visitors are welcome from 9:00am to 7:00pm. On Thursday, the fair is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm; on Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm. As of 2011, the Horti Fair and the FloraHolland Trade Fair Aalsmeer will be held during November.
