Towards a single auction house in the Euroregion
FLORAHOLLAND (20 September 2010) - It has been decided to change the start date of Veiling Rhein-Maas. With the amalgamation of the three branches in Venlo, Lüllingen and Herongen, we were assuming the following timetable:
1. End of August: Introduction of the new consignment note and new auction trolleys; has already taken place
2. Beginning of October: Start of Veiling Rhein-Maas in Herongen with all the new systems
3. Beginning of November: Move of the two branches in Lüllingen and Venlo to Herongen
Unfortunately, we have only now been informed that we are legally obliged to have the second and third steps take place simultaneously. As the new systems can no longer be tested in practice at the auction, which means that we have to incorporate several new test functions, in consultation with the two parent companies, the management of Veiling Rhein-Maas has decided to change the start date.
This means that all three branches will be amalgamated at the same time on 29 November 2010.
