Arnold Hordijk will leave FloraHolland  

 

FLORAHOLLAND (3 December 2010) - FloraHolland’s commercial director Arnold Hordijk will leave FloraHolland by February  1st 2011. After agreeable discussions with each other, FloraHolland and Arnold Hordijk have decided to end the cooperation.

Arnold Hordijk (58) began his career in 1977 at the Westland flower auction to become FloraHolland’s commercial director. During these years, Hordijk made exceptionally valuable contributions to the development of the auction clock, as well as intermediary and other services.

“His great capacity to bringing people together, and his ever listening ear, typify his way of working. Arnold contributed strongly to the global market leadership of Flora Holland. We are especially grateful to him,” stated both FloraHolland’s Cooperative and Management Board.
Arnold Hordijk has helped creating the new FloraHolland, which stands like a rock. Therefore it is time for a new view to the future. The Board and Directors are now studying on how to fulfil this vacancy.
Hordijk has been working at the auction for 33 years. He started in 1977 at Bloemenveiling Westland.
