FLORAHOLLAND (4 november 2010) - On the morning of Thursday 4 November, FloraHolland Aalsmeer was faced with an extensive malfunction in the Remote Buying (KOA) system. It was decided, in order to repair the malfunction as quickly as possible, to bring the auctioning process at FloraHolland Aalsmeer to a halt. As a result, the auction process of FloraHolland Naaldwijk was also temporarily halted (cut flowers between 6:20am and 7:50am; pot plants between 6:20am and 7:00am).
At 8:20am, auctioning resumed in Aalsmeer. Unfortunately, it became clear that the malfunction was persisting. Every effort was made to repair the malfunction and to resume auctioning as quickly as possible.
Finally, at 8:45am it was decided to resume auctioning at 9:30am.
FloraHolland is entirely aware that this has been a very frustrating day for its customers and suppliers.
