Buyers naturally want to know what they are buying and they want their purchase to live up to expectations. This is only possible if the auction process is transparent and the supply information is reliable. FloraHolland therefore monitors the quality of the products and the reliability of the (supply) information. As most growers now act as their own quality inspectors, the Quality Department subjects the supply information to random checks and makes corrections where necessary. Supply information is considered reliable if it is correct, complete and on time.

Reliability index (BI)
The reliability of the supply information of a particular supplier is shown by the reliability index (BI) displayed on the clock face. This reliability index indicates how many of the last hundred lots delivered had correct supply information.

Self inspection
Most growers carry out their own quality checks and provide their own supply information. These growers must provide correct, complete and timely information with their products.
