Q&A product photo guidelines: Guidelines

1. What are the guidelines that a lot photo must comply with?
Please visit the photo requirement website for more information.

2. Do I have to take a new photo every day?
This depends on your product. If you supply different mixes daily, you will need to take new photos every day. The same is true where there are large differences when compared to the VBN product code photo, during the season for instance. In such a case, we recommend that you take new photos.

3. How do I photograph a mixed trolley?
Where there are lots of unequal mixes within a single packaging unit, a photo including several packaging units must be taken. The ratio in the mix must be represented as well as possible by the photo displayed on the auction clock front.

4. Is the inclusion of a ruler mandatory?
Yes. When photographing plants, a ruler must be included in the photo next to the product. This is the only way in which a buyer can see the height of the plants he is buying. A ruler is not required in photos of cut flowers. The length of the stem is already stated in the lot information.

5. I don't have a ruler, but can I make one myself?
No, you can request a free rulers from the FloraHolland Service Point at T +31 (0)29 739-7000, or by sending an e-mail to servicepunt@floraholland.nl

6. Who can I ask whether my photo is correct?
The auctioneer.

7. What will the photo look like on the auction clock front?
You can view an auction clock preview in the central image bank to see how your photo will be displayed.

8. Can I add a detail photo?
Yes. A detail photo is a lot photo of the open flower. For instance, you could photograph amaryllises in the box and include a detail photo of the open flower. For more information, please visit the photo requirement website

9. Can I include a logo in the photo?
Yes. For more information, please visit the photo requirement website

10. Are the product photo guidelines for PlantConnect.nl, FloraHolland e-Trade and the auction clock different?
